Presentation Guidelines

Oral Presentation

These guidelines are intended to help presenters prepare a professional, clear, and visually effective oral presentation using the official Congress PowerPoint template provided.

Allocated presentation time

• 5 minutes for the presentation + 2 minutes of discussion

Text and Typography Recommended minimum sizes

• Slide titles: 40-45 pt
• Main text: 20–26 pt
• Figure labels and captions: minimum 16–18 pt

Font Style

• Use clear sans-serif fonts.

Colors and Contrast

• Use high contrast between text and background.
• Prefer dark text on light backgrounds or light text on dark backgrounds

Image Quality

• Use high-resolution images.
• Avoid pixelated or stretched graphics.
• Ensure figures remain readable when projected.

Graphs and Charts

• Simplify graphs whenever possible.
• Highlight the most important data.
• Use large labels and legends.
• Avoid overcrowded tables.

Layout and Alignment

• Leave enough space between elements.
• Avoid placing text too close to slide edges.
