Terms & Conditions
Scope
These Terms & Conditions govern membership in the European Academy of DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology (EADMFR, “the Academy”) and the use of the membership services offered via the EADMFR website. They apply in addition to the Academy’s statutes. In the event of a conflict, the statutes prevail.
Eligibility and Application
Membership is open to individuals and institutions with a professional or scientific interest in dento-maxillo-facial radiology, in accordance with the membership categories defined in the Academy’s statutes. Membership is applied for via the online application form on the EADMFR website. The Academy reserves the right to verify the information provided and to accept or decline an application in accordance with its statutes. A membership contract comes into effect once the application has been approved and the membership fee has been received.
Membership Fees
Membership fees are charged per membership year according to the applicable membership category. The current fees are published on the EADMFR website. Fees are due upon acceptance of the application and thereafter on each Renewal Date. The Academy may adjust membership fees for future membership terms; members will be informed of any fee change before it takes effect, at the latest with the renewal reminder.
Term, Renewal and Cancellation
Membership runs for one (1) year from the Membership Start Date and renews automatically for successive one-year terms unless cancelled before the Renewal Date. Details on renewal, cancellation, and refunds are set out in our Membership Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
Membership Benefits
Members receive the benefits associated with their membership category as described on the EADMFR website, which may include access to the members’ area, reduced congress and course fees, access to webinars and educational materials, and the Academy’s communications. The Academy may reasonably adapt, replace, or develop individual benefits over time, provided the overall character of the membership is maintained.
Member Account and Obligations
Members are responsible for keeping their account credentials confidential and their contact details up to date. Access to the members’ area and member content is personal and non-transferable. Educational materials, recordings, and documents provided to members are protected by copyright and may be used for personal, professional, and educational purposes only; redistribution, resale, or public sharing requires the Academy’s prior written consent.
Members agree to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the aims of the Academy and recognized professional and scientific standards.
Data Protection
The Academy processes members’ personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national law. Details on the processing of personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Liability
The Academy provides scientific and educational content with care; however, this content does not replace individual professional judgment, clinical decision-making, or legal advice. The Academy is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence, the Academy is liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. The Academy does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website or the members’ area.
Changes to these Terms
The Academy may amend these Terms & Conditions for future membership terms, in particular to reflect legal, organisational, or technical developments. Members will be notified of material changes in text form (e.g. by email) before they take effect. If a member does not agree to the amended terms, the membership may be cancelled with effect from the next Renewal Date in accordance with the Cancellation Policy.
Final Provisions
Should individual provisions of these Terms & Conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Belgium [Country of the Academy’s registered seat], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable at a member’s place of residence. Place of jurisdiction, where legally permissible, is Brussels, BE.
